Request for Proposal: Snow Plowing/Removal
Lowville Academy and Central School District is seeking proposals for snow plowing and snow removal for the 2026-2027 school year. Proposals should be submitted as a Lump Sum “not to exceed” Contract Price which includes all snow plowing and removal for all parking lots and driveways (including the Bus Garage location) owned by the district for the entire winter season.
All proposals must meet the following requirements:
- All daily plowing must be completed by no later than 7:00 a.m. for the opening of school and by early afternoon for dismissal and evening events.
- For safety reasons, snow falls of 1” or more must be plowed.
- Snow removal shall be as needed or by request of district. Snow removal must be done prior to 7:00 a.m. on school days and Saturday or after 9:00 p.m. at night. Snow can be removed anytime on Sundays.
- Snow must be staged in areas approved by the district.
- This contract may be extended for 2 additional years if agreed upon by both parties.

Proposals will be received until 2:00 pm on April 27, 2026 in the District Office, 7668 N. State Street, Lowville, NY 13367, at which time they will be publicly opened. Proposals should be in a sealed envelope and be labeled “Snow Plowing Contract”. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all proposals.
