SUMMER SCHOOL
Registration
LACS 2026 SUMMER SCHOOL
Summer School Registration for Middle School will open on Thursday, May 21, 2026.
Summer School Registration for High School will open on Monday, June 1, 2026.
LACS Middle and High School students should use the links below and work with the counseling office to ensure they register for the correct course. All out-of-district students should register through their home district's Counseling Office. All local schools have received applications and instructions to complete this process. Classes will be capped at 20 students, on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to LACS students.
All students need to register by Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Enrollment limits apply to all classes, so timely registration is important. All courses require that attendance standards are met to qualify for final exams and, ultimately, for credit. If you have any questions, please call Lowville Academy at (315) 376-9117. Mr. Larkin will serve as Summer School Principal and is available to answer questions.
Driver’s Education
Driver’s Education will be limited to meet instructional and vehicle occupancy limits. A waiting list will be maintained until the course begins. Due to the time requirements imposed by the State, students who are unable to attend all of their assigned lectures and driving classes will be dropped from enrollment.
When registering for Driver’s Education, please use only the Driver’s Education Registration form. You will be allowed to select your preference for driving times, but no guarantees are made that your preferences will be met.

Registration for classes is free to all Lowville Academy students. All non-resident students (those living outside the Lowville District) will be charged the following tuition: $100.00 per academic course and $175.00 for Driver Education only. Payment is due at the time of registration. Please note that priority for registration placement may be given to Lowville Academy students. No refunds will be given after the first day of summer school classes unless a class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment or other extenuating circumstances.
Transportation
Lowville Academy will provide transportation this summer for any LACS students who can benefit from this service. This service is available for morning classes only. Any LACS student who meets Board of Education transportation eligibility may sign up for summer bus transportation. To ensure you have bus transportation on the first day of class, you must contact the Summer School Office at (315) 376-9117 BEFORE Wednesday, June 24. Late bus transportation requests may not be possible to schedule.
Attendance Policy
Lowville Academy Summer School will meet according to the dates listed earlier in this article for each Block. Please note that because of the condensed time span, it is not possible to miss any days of instruction for credit-bearing coursework. Families need to schedule vacations accordingly. It will not be possible to meet every student’s academic needs in this short Block format unless the student is present each day.
Regents Examinations
August Regents Examinations will be held at Lowville Academy on August 18 and 19. Lowville Academy and area students may register for the August Regents Exams by contacting the Summer School/Guidance Office by Monday, July 13. The cost of a “walk-in” exam (for students not taking a corresponding course) will be $25.00 per exam for non-resident students. Payment is due at the time of registration.
