FOOD SERVICES

Food Service Department
7668 North State Street
Lowville, NY 13367

Breakfast and lunch are provided at no cost to all students through the Community Eligibility Provision, which runs through 2027. This does not include extra food items, which can be purchased with cash or through the student’s account.

If your household meets federal income guidelines, your children can receive much more than free lunch!  Exam fee waivers and other benefits are available. We encourage you to fill out a free and reduced price meal application to see if the reduction applies to your family!

Lunch -

Elementary Students may also choose from a yogurt with granola, chef salad with cheese-filled whole grain breadstick, or PB&J sandwich with string cheese main entree.

Middle School and High School Students always have a second hot lunch choice (this is the menu item from the previous day except on the first day of the week when the second choice is listed on the menu).

They can also choose from a yogurt parfait, PB&J sandwich with string cheese, made-to-order salad with cheese-filled whole grain breadstick, or made-to-order wrap sandwich.

Breakfast – In addition to the hot entre we offer a variety of choices such as cereal and muffins.  Milk and 100% fruit juice are offered daily.  If you qualify for free and reduced price meals, this also applies to breakfast.

We look forward to seeing the students and making sure they have tasty, healthy meals to help them focus throughout their school days.

We are always looking for more help in the cafeteria. If you are interested in serving as a substitute in the food service department, please complete this employment application or contact the District Office. Oftentimes, employees who start with us as subs move into full-time or permanent positions.

Summer Food Program
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was established to ensure that low-income children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session. Nutritious free meals are available for children and teens 18 and younger at many locations throughout the nation throughout the summer while school is out of session.

If your student is in need of food throughout the summer, South Lewis School and Copenhagen School are sites in Lewis County through which food may be available.  For more information, please contact Steve Fuller at South Lewis School at (315) 348-2543 or Nicole Grandjean at Copenhagen School at (315) 688-4034.
